Rovers in talks for Petrovic

Rovers in talks for Petrovic

Rovers are making some silent moves in the transfer market and it appears one will lead to the capture of defensive midfielder Radosav Petrovic.

Rovers have been one great big flop in the transfer market this summer with organisation skills that would make men everywhere blush with embarrassment.

But Venky's mentioned the other day that bids were in for two players and it looks as if one of them is for defensive midfielder (not a striker like some news outlets insist on reporting) Petrovic.

The sporting director of Partizan revealed that talks with Rovers are ongoing and whilst no transfers has been finalised there has been dialogue opened.

Partizan sporting director Mladen Krstajic told Sky Sports - 'We have a serious bid for Petrovic and the chances are that there will be a transfer.

'I can confirm that we're in the middle of talks with Blackburn for Petrovic

'In the last 24 hours there hasn't been anything of interest.

For now there's nothing official, only that we're in talks. A transfer has not been finalised.'

I won't count my chickens(sorry!) until he's on the official site holding up the shirt. We need to look at signing a couple of strikers ASAP as well.

I do think we need one to replace JJ. Then the striker and centre back will hopefully follow!

Strange, I saw him in one article described as the league's leading scorer. As a defensive midfielder I imagine that he would be a replacement for Jermaine Jones.

I think he looks very good, done the YouTube thing (AGAIN!!) and he scores a few from outside the box and also hit's a cheeky one from near the halfway line that hit's the post. Looks good on the ball as well. Would be a good signing i'm sure but like everyone else i suspect i ain't getting carried away thus far.

Having checked, he scored 9 goals in 25 appearances in the Serbian Superliga - not bad for a defensive midfielder!

RE 2 bids, one was Um Bongo (mongongu), the other was Raul, this is new, unfortunatly its Partizan confirming this, not Rovers and until i hear someone from there confirm we have made a bid for him, pinch of salt! We do need a DM, if nothing else as cover for Zonz as Linganzi is untested at this level. Has 18 caps and has a fair bit of experience, playing in CL and Europa league over the last 3 seasons. Would be a welcome addition, so would Honda but that has gone quiet. Fingers DOUBLE crossed!
