'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Is this now known as the Benjani saga?

Benjani will more than likely be at Blackburn Rovers for the 2010/11 season after Steve Kean revealed that a break down in communication (shock of all horrors) caused Benjani to walk away from a contract at Ewood Park.

Rovers are having a shocker this summer and the case of Benjani is a testament to the borderline terrible PR job the club are doing this summer.

Benjani was 'on the verge' of signing a new deal a month ago, the player then announced that he'd sign it within a few days ago.

A week then passed before Kean told the press that he had offered the Zimbabwean a new contract and expected him to sign ASAP.

So all good with the world then? Well of course not, this is the public relations suicide that is Blackburn Rovers 2011.

Another week dragged by and still nothing happened.

And finally this week the Lancashire Telegraph reported that Benjani has left Ewood Park after failing to agree terms.

But now... this.

Kean has told Sky Sports just a short while ago - 'It was a bit of a breakdown in communications, but I've spoken to him now and hopefully we'll have a new offer we can go forward with.'

Someone. For the love of god. Sort it out.

We're having a shocker!

What a circus it's turning out to be. It's like there is nobody who is in the loop with anything. We only had a month in January and we managed to negotiate two loanees, bring in Rochina and Formica and several contract renewals but now it's all gone to pot since JW left.

For got sake Venkys and Kean just shut your mouths and let the results and confirmed transfers do the talking we r sick of being lead up garden paths and then told that is not the route they are taking

The Da Venkys code, Back in full swing. And as ridiculous as ever.

My understanding of a squad system is that it enables the Manager to select a "First" team [which should write itself on a team sheet] and then have a good quality player to cover each position. Please tell me what you regard is our first team Mr. Delap because i'm at a loss to know, maybe others could offer their suggestions?

With all this negativity it surely will affect the players we got left ! I fear we could be championship fodder at this rate , oh well whatever happens I'l follow the rovers :)

Is the reason he needs to keep Benjani, that Kalinic is off and he can't attract anyone else in! Shambles!
