Kalinic chase is hotting up

Niko Kalinic is heading, very firmly, towards the exit door at Ewood Park.

In what seems more of a when and not if scenario, Kalinic has got a choice of clubs if the morning papers are to be believed with 3 clubs keen on him.

With Kalinic lower than VBer Friedel No.1 in the Rovers striking pecking order it seems that the Croatian's time at Rovers is limited and the main concern from Steve Kean's point of view is how much money the club can get for the Slaven Bilic endorsed hitman.

The Daily Mail is reporting - 'Rovers want to recoup the £6million they paid Hajduk Split for the Croatia international with Dinamo Kiev leading the chase whilst Dnipro Dnepropetrovsk (WHAT. A. NAME) and Metalist Kharkiv are also keen.'

I see this personally as a massive shame. He may well have an attitude problem but then name me a footballer that doesn't.

I am sure if we can get the right money for him then he'll be off but I still don't see how he is any worse than Benjani.

I still don't see the sense in this!

Kean obviously doesn't see him in his plans for whatever reason which is a great shame. Big Sam only played him the odd game in his first season and last season he notched up a decent amount of goals and outscored Benjani, m.B. Diouf and J Rob even though he was left out so much. At only 22 I think he will only get better and is defo worth keeping.

He's a talent but something is obviously wrong behind the scenes. If we can recoup what we expended when buying him then let him go, as long as he is replaced with quality!
fransavarese
That's a shame, I don't think he ever got a decent crack of the whip. The need for a new striker is really quite pressing now.

I really dont rate him at all, watched him at rovers over the past 2 seasons and cant see him improving and i dont see what the fuss is about him, i know he doesnt get a decent run but surely there are better strikers rovers can get?!?!?!? We will see now the intension of Venkys for rovers, with the ambition for future players, i know its hard to attract players to rovers so maybe they need to change the scouts and the people who are doing the deals?!! Rovers need to get rid of Keen and get some proven strikers, i predict the championship is comin!!!

Mikey, am I above or below Benjani??

Christ if Kalinic is lower than me in the strikers pecking order you know we're in trouble!

how much would we sell him for? with some of the ridiculous prices being quoted this window, we might get the 6mil back for him!
retroflair31
I totally agree with superjackson,i don't see what the fuss is about him either. If you asked me i think he is pretty average player. Get rid of him while we have the chance.
stevekally
I hope he leaves you and your curry munching managers
