'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vital Blackburn - Moment of the Season

Over the years we have been lucky to have quite a few happy memories as fans of Blackburn Rovers but last season was something of an up and down experience (mainly down).

But through the doom and the gloom came a few moments of joy with the 'Moment of the Season' being hotly contested.

The 3-1 win over Liverpool at Ewood Park in January was certainly a high point.

As was the 1-0 win over Bolton after so long without a 3 point maximum.

Both of those wins received a vote and special mention must also got to the absolutely inspired genius of Martin Olsson for his sausage roll, super block at the Emirates to salvage a point for Rovers against Arsenal.

That was the runner up but the winner was the obvious...

The last day Survival Sunday win against Wolves at Molineux.

With Wolves on a good run of form heading into the final day it left Rovers nervously looking over our shoulders at the trap door and a defeat for us combined with a couple of wins for the teams below could have left us stranded.

But we took the first 45 minutes of the game by the scruff of the neck and blew Wolves away with our best performance of the season.

3-0 up at half time and safe. Cue scenes of unbridled joy and happy times back again.

What a moment.

The weight lifted off the shoulders on that day was amazing! Haven't felt relief like that for ages!!!

All in all a good choice - an away win on the last day of the season to stay up - brilliant. Wonder how we'll do against them on the first day of the season at home! (Hopefully 6-0 thrashing and top of the league!)
