Pappis Demba Cisse could be the man

Pappis Demba Cisse could be the man

Our very own Rovers appear to be busy behind the scenes, just as Steve Kean suggested they were 24 hours ago.

Various sources have suggested that the man Rovers most want to lead the charge is Freiburg's Pappis Demba Cisse with the player believed to be keen on a move to the Premier League and Rovers new injection of cash meaning a deal is a very strong possibility.

Reports surfaced yesterday that a deal is very close but they appear to be slightly wide of the mark and there are clubs such as Zenit St Petersburg known to be monitoring him as well.

But Rovers are at the head of the queue and it is believed a bid of about £12 million or so will bag the guy who hit 24 goals last season in a very competitive Bundesliga.

Looks sharp, comfortable on the ball and the main thing is HE SCORES GOALS. A few vids on youtube of him, Got a link of one below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itvv7h4d8qI&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I don't think the reports are wide of the mark, Mikey. I expect us to sign him by Monday, for about £12.8m.

This Cisse looks a pretty decent player, if we get a good partner for him like Craig Makail-Smith, Connor Wickham? And with Rochina looking good we could have a fab attack next season. BUT we need to buy defenders! IF roumers are true of the russian Aleksandr Anyukov coming to Ewood he would be a great signing, he is a solid right back. Comon Venkys start bidding for the likes of Scott Dann & Roger Johnson. And maybe even Upson for cover! also a good left back is needed. Steve Warnock to come back?

This sounds brilliant! 24 goals in one season? From one player? Not, like, a whole team? Get him signed Kean! This could be the start to the summer we've been looking for:)
