Kean gives transfer insight

Rovers have confirmed they are after a few signings in due course as Kean has assured the fans of Blackburn Rovers that the club may have been quiet on the transfer front so far but hard work is well and truly under way behind the scenes to bring in new names.

Zenit St Petersburg right back Alexander Anyukov has been mentioned as a target as Rovers look to give Michel Salgado a smaller work load next season.

Strikers are of course being looked at with Jermaine Jones being chased for a permanent signature in a straight battle with Roma.

Steve Kean confirmed to the Lancashire Telegraph - "We are very busy at the moment.

'We haven`t got anything solid at the moment but we have been busy over the last three to four weeks.

'I am sure we will have three or four signings by the start of the season."

Give us some excitement soon won't you Steve?

If Junior signs up, and Jones gets bought things will be looking a bit better.

Jones has left, Samba won't be far behind, JJ doesn't seem particularly keen, if you were a decent player would you sign for us? We avoided relegation on the last day of the season, our owners bring a whole new meaning to cowboys and Indians, and our manager is BS tool who couldn't lie straight in bed, hardly inspiring. Our sole businesses thus far Sell our most promising player Sign Anderson's son, the next Chris Smalling apparently!! Resign the goal machine Benjani And yet the clown insists we will play champions league in 2 or 3 years, he really must think we are all, blind, gullible muppets. I don't mind enthusiasm, I just hate liars and SK would not know the truth if it jumped up and bit him.

Cissé looks a good signing if he can score in Germany he should be ok here. It's a little annoying to see the likes of Demba Ba and Seb Larsson snapped up without a shade of interest from us. We need Hoillett signed up sharpish, the longer it drags on the more likely a bid will come in for him.

Anyone else reckon Kean should just shu the ***** up and get on with it. All he does is talk crap and say things like we'll be in the champions league in 3 or 4 years time yet we've signed nobody.

The Champs League comments were daft, but I think he's trying to walk a bit of a tightrope with the transfers. It can't have escaped him that we're desperate to see something happen, but he has to balance that with getting the deals done properly. Let's see who the 3 or 4 players are, and then look at where we're up to.
