'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The fixtures are here!

It is fixture day. As usual thanks to the shortsighteness of the Premier League, Football League, our FA and their legal eagles at Dataco, we can`t show them.

Correct, we can`t publish the fixtures - adverts for the games we pay good money to go and see - without paying a fee which none of us can afford to pay and wouldn`t even if we could.

we look to promote the game in every way we can including letting fans know when to attend games but this is seen as a chargeable to fans process. It also defies the European Court of Justice about publishing fixture charges but hey, we don`t have the financial backing to challenge that.

so... fixtures are available at the official site: http://www.rovers.co.uk/page/Fixtures/

A tough set of fixtures this year! Seems to go easier harder easier harder for the most part.. so seems impossible to get a good run going!

We kick off with Wolves at home! A repeat of the last game of last season would be a cracker to watch!

The Xmas-New Year has been really unkind to us though!

Can't publish the fixtures?? What a joke!

Still a good first home game which is winnable - an early game against villa and a new boss still taking charge could get a result and Everton early in the season are always slow starters - so hopeful of points there too! I think a good start.

Given that many Rovers fans are saying the Kean shouldn't be judged until we see how the start of the new season goes, it'll be a very fair test of whether he's really up to it. There are, of course, no easy games, but if we don't get off to a decent start, I can't see there being many excuses.

Loving our current league table - we're in a champions league spot... now if only Kean can hold onto it!

Still can't believe that after all these years we're still unable to show the fixtures. Disgrace!!
