Roberts is not on his way to Ipswich

Rovers are not going to be another striker short after it has emerged the papers have scored a fairly substantial own goal in their reporting.

A lot of the rags are reporting that Roberts is in discussions with Championship side Ipswich Town about a move from Rovers and is keen to make the move with talks at a reasonably advanced stage.

The only problem is that Jason is currently on the other side of the world in his home country of Grenada and has no idea of this apparent new move!

Roberts even told the world as much on his twitter account - 'I have only just seen and read the rumours.. I can confirm that I am still in Grenada and I have not spoken to anybody from Ipswich!!'

A little later he even chucked in this little nugget from the same account - 'You are never quite sure where these rumours come from, but I am happy at Blackburn and I am looking forward to next Season already!'

I'll tell you where the rumours come from J-Rob, some desperate papers wanting to fill column inches.

o dam another bluffer kept on we cud get rid of him and get jose alitore and be in a great chance of doing sumething next year with kally and jose up front they cud be the new young santa and JR up front

We'll never get rid of him, you never know he might find his scoring boots one day and shock a few people with a hat-trick or a 30 yard thunderbolt! lol

It's hard to fault the plus points that JR does have and he'll be worth having around, however, he does have his faults. With all due respect to Ipswich Town I do personally think that JR is a Premier League footballer so can see why he wants to remain that way.
Walker
I'd like to see him stay. I don't particularly want him to be starting and I definitely don't want him to be the best that we've got, but he can do a job and we should keep hold of him.
rossp2112
I like him, hes a model professional and never gives up, fair enough sometimes he can't hit a barn door, but most strikers have a dry spell.
lhrover
haha dry spell the sahara desert has got more rain that jr got goals this season lol
tubzz
good to hear he's staying. i've always like roberts and time and again he is there when needed

Keep him! We need all the strikers we can get! And I believe he scored more than Roque did for us last season!
