Pearson offer rejected

Rovers attempts to rebuild the back room operations at the club have taken a slight knock after it has been revealed that Hull's Adam Pearson refused the chance to become the club's new chairman.

Whilst it isn't certain that he was offered the full gig of Rovers chairman it does seem feasible that was the position on offer given the gaping vacancy at Ewood Park in that slot.

The Lancashire Telegraph is reporting - 'Sources close to Pearson claim Rovers were offering him the chance of being the new chairman, after John Williams` departure as chief in February.

Pearson has been chairman of both Hull and Derby in the past and is currently working closely with Tigers boss Nigel Pearson in his new role.'

That chairman slot needs filling and if the early parts of the summer tell us anything is that the longer their is no head figure to control things in England at the Rovers the worse off we will be.

He seems to have a good rep Pearson but plenty more fish in the sea I guess :)

Wasnt to overly thrilled the way he handled the Phil Brown thing and a few other goings on at Hull so i would say this is a lucky escape for Rovers

He's had his moments but I also tend to think that some of the things the dude did could've (and should've) been handled better in the past.

Don't kow whether Pearson would be the right person, but we need someone in there by the start of next season at the latest.
