Zurab gives thought to the future

Rovers defender Zurab Khizanishvili is leaving Ewood Park in the next few days and has still not decided his next move.

The Georgia captain has been on-loan at Reading all season and is still dealing with the blow of missing out on promotion with them after they lost to Swansea in the Play Off final on Bank Holiday Monday.

Zurab will take time over his future as he is out of contract at Rovers this summer.

Khizanishvili told BBC Radio - 'I still don't know my future but I'll maybe decide next month.

'I will wish all the best for this club (Reading, not Rovers sadly) because it is the perfect club. I am proud to spend time with these guys.'

'I'm going home for national team (duties) and we have Croatia away so it's another big game I have to play next week. So I just need to clean up myself tomorrow and over the next few days.'

Wherever Zurab moves to I wish him the best as he is one of football's genuine nice guys and back in the day was excellent for Blackburn in central defence.

It would be nice to see Zurab stay in England but I fear he may head closer to home?

Rarely moaned of groaned and just got on with things, a lot could learn from his example, however, his ability is best suited to a lower level now I think and personally I believe he'll end up a bit closer to his homeland like you do Mr Mikey.
