The summer gossip is here!
With the summer comes a lot of sun, fizzy cider and kicking a ball around in a park somewhere.
But it does also signal the silly season and a lot of, shall we say, speculation/bullshit being spread round the tabs.
And after a quiet couple of days of relative summer quietness I hear declare the summer transfer gossip open!
First up we have the news that Rovers have joined Newcastle United and Sunderland in chasing the signature of relegated Birmingham winger Sebastian Larsson.
The Swedish winger is a free agent this summer as he has been unable to agree a deal with his current side and with his talent freely available for such a modest outlay it is easy to see why there is a bit of competition.
Next up, according to reports in a couple of papers Blackburn Rovers are interested in Kaiserslautern forward Srdjan Lakic.
The rather European named striker has bagged 16 goals in the German Bundesliga and is now firmly entrenched in the Croatian national side alongside someone by the name of Nikola Kalinic who you may or may not have heard of.
The cost of this chap? Around £8 million.
And finally, on the selling front it seems that the Daily Star believes that Arsene Wenger has launched a bid for Rovers defender Chris Samba. Samba is apparently rated at £10 million by the Star and Wenger is keen as most of his defenders are reasonably bobbins.
Welcome back summer. We've missed you.
