Rovers get tough with idiots

Blackburn Rovers are taking a hard line with 'supporters' looking to sell their season tickets to rival Man United fans for Saturday's big clash.

United are virtually guaranteed to be winning the Championship and have sold out their ticket allocation with fans expecting to see the title sealed at Ewood Park. As a result over eager United fans have been trying to get hold of tickets how ever they can.

This has seen a select group of Rovers fans that for future reference we shall call morons advertising their tickets online to buy.

But this has not gone down well with the club who are getting tough.

A Rovers statement said they were fully supported by the police in efforts to minimise the illegal practice and have stressed that 'offenders will face strong and appropriate action'

Blackburn managing director Tom Finn told the club website - 'This is a very disturbing situation, not to mention a criminal offence and a situation we could well do without leading up to what is a massive fixture.

'We are currently monitoring things very closely and, where necessary, will cancel the season tickets, so denying entry to the stadium on the day.

'We need as many Rovers fans inside Ewood Park on Saturday as we can.

'Fervent home support has worked wonders for us in recent years and we need it again now.'

Anyone selling tickets to away fans is no fan of Blackburn Rovers IMO.

I know a couple of wigan fans who sold their tickets a couple of seasons back when United were crowned champions at their place, i think if i remember correctly they got £750 each for their tickets which paid for the following season's season ticket.Although I think everyone should want to keep their tickets due to the fact we ain't safe, I can understand why some would perhaps be tempted to part with theirs when people are will ing to pay so much for them, However what ever the result on Saturday the league have confirmed United won't get the trophy at Ewood so it seems a pointless exercise for any United fan to want to pay over the odds for any ticket

Anyone who's thinking of doing this should think again as rival fans don't mix well. it just takes one idiot to start getting a bit lairy and heckling and it could all turn nasty. No matter if it's £1000 on offer you can't put a price on the chance to see us nick 3pts at the expense of Man Utd's title hopes.

Too rightl. Tempting or not, surely safety is the most important thing to consider here. I certainly wouldn't want an away fan sat next to me anyway.
