'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rao's re-affirm Rovers commitment

Indian owners Venky's have confirmed that they do not see Blackburn Rovers as a short term investment - they are in it for the long haul.

Co-Owner Venkatesh Rao believes that they can have a positive effect on the club and that changes being made as we speak will help the club in the long run.

Rao spoke to Sky Sports - 'We are involved for the long term, and I can assure supporters that we care about the long-term future of the club.

'We've only owned Rovers for five months. We have made some changes and there are other things to do.

'It will take more time yet, but all I'd ask our fans is to see where we are after we've been here for a year.'

They have no option than to be here for the long term, they own the club, and it took the walkers many years to find a buyer

More pie in the sky assurances. When will they learn that the time to say stuff like this is during the summer, if we manage to stay up, and signings are made, and there's some excitement around the club.
