Nelsen out for the run in!

Rovers will be without Ryan Nelsen for the crucial run in to avoid relegation.

Nelsen has suffered a Knee injury which will keep him out beyond May.. Which means Rovers will be without their Club Captain for 7 Vital games, starting with Everton on Saturday.

Gutted...We have adequate cover in that position luckily but a big miss to lose the club captain on this crucial run in.

Bad news indeed but looking at it on the up side Jones has come back and looks awesome in central defence. When Nelson went off at the weekend Jones shored us up and his extra bit of a pace makes us look more solid than when the Admiral is in there. Just hope Kean doesn't play Givet instead, his turning circle is bigger than that of a double decker bus and twice as slow!

It leaves us very light in central midfield if Jones moves to centre half No doubt the bald genius will leave Givet and Kalinic out of the squad to make us even more lightweight

Not good!! but at least we've got Jones and Hanley to fill in as well as Givet although he is shocking when he plays centre half IMO he's better at left back when he's in the mood to play that is, lol.

Terrible news. Nelsen's commitment and drive will be sorely missed. Even more for the younger lads to do, whether it's Jones or Hanley who fills in.

A blow but TBH we need a few more to get injured so that it forces Keans hand to play the right players, Be nice if tomoz when I log in the headlines is "Roberts, Benjani and Cruz out for the season" Then perhaps Niko Rochina and Formica can get a look in and get us some wins

i have confident in jonesy but samba will really need to step up to sore up the defense. i opens up a spot in the middle for kean to hopefully put someone that can attack and create chances...

lol glen i almost agree... its time for big Samba to again step up and lead us to safety

I would usuallt say switch Jones to CB, but our midfield is so poor, I think we need the 2 capable DM's, PhilJer. I think he will just put Givet in Nelly's position, play Olsson at left back and keep Jones in midfield.
