Givet dispute rumbles on

Rovers are getting a little deeper into the brown stuff as the Gael Givet/Tax saga continues to rumble on.

Rovers are understandably mad keen to settle an issue which is causing a lot more harm than good.

Givet is claiming that the club have to pay his tax bill as he was not made aware that the tax would be his liability to pay in his contract as he didn't understand the clause and assumed the club would be paying.

But either way, the club want a speedy resolution as the issue is creating a big cloud over the survival bid.

The Lancashire Telegraph is saying - 'Rovers will continue talks with Givet`s representatives this week.

While a permanent resolution to who is responsible for settling a tax bill may have to wait for the summer, they will seek to reach an agreement that will allow the player to focus on his football.

Should Givet and his representatives stick to their guns and decide to take Rovers to a Premier League tribunal the issue will continue to rumble on until the summer, but Kean knows the importance of having everyone focused on the scrap for survival.'

Sort it out chaps!

Starting to do my head in this!

We just seem to be making the headlines for every little thing now, Givet issue needs sorting, as does Niko's. Niko has said he is unhappy and don't know why he has been overlooked since his return from international duty, and if he can't get back in the side he is off in the summer

These issues would have been resolved if we had somebody who could manage players, Kean is a poor excuse for a manager and he needs to go. I would expect Givet to show some sense of urgency about assisting the club get out of the mess we are in, there will be plenty of time for him to whine about tax in the summer, if he can't do that then do we really want him at the club? Kalinic's problem is down to Kean, he alone is responsible for not putting him on the bench or the park. I sympathise with Niko, why doesn't he start? A blind man could see we are struggling for goals and kalinic is a goal scorer, whilst all the others couldn't score in a brothel if they had £20 sticking out of each ear.

Getting ridiculous, they should stop his wages if he doesn't want to play for such a pathetic reason. It's not the clubs problem it's the Inland Revenue he should be falling out with.
