'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rochina rocks it for the reserves

So it does appear that we have a striker that can score from time to time - it's one of the new boys... Ruben Rochina.

The former Barca boy bagged two and set up Mame Biram Diouf in an epic 4-4 draw with the Newcastle second string at Leigh last night.

Rochina seemed to be on top form with some delightful touches and movement that would make current first choice striker Roque Santa Cruz blush as he put in a virtuoso performance behind lone striker Mame Biram Diouf.

It is the second reserve match in a row where he has earned a rave review as he looks to push for a starting spot for the trip to Everton at the weekend.

Further good news was provided with a spotting of the lesser seen Mauro Formica, turns out he is still alive.

Guess Kean will sell him, can't have anybody effective playing up front, can he?
blue_n_white99
Get him in the teeeeeam! Can't be worse than Roque's current form surely?!
fransavarese
There may be clause that if he scores a first team goal we have to pay another £1 million so he can't play

There's no way Kean is going to drop Croque any time soon but surely it would make perfect sense to throw this lad in as a second striker. Can't understand why Formica hasn't featured for us yet after all the hype.
ITSALLROVER
actually the clause is more like $20 but still thats apparantly reason enough to keep him out of the first team

Even Baby Diouf is singing his praises http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburnrovers/news/8970596.Blackburn_Rovers_new_boy_Rochina__ready_for_Premier_League_/?ref=rss
