VB Man of the Match vs Arsenal

After the impressive draw at Arsenal on Saturday there was many an opinion on who was the best player on the pitch with so many to choose from (for once!).

So we put you guys to the test to tell us who the man was and after 48 hours of the votes being open the winner is... Jermaine Jones.

Well done Jermaine, after a few average performances over the last few games it was nice to see him show us what he was all about.

A battling performance and a fantastic display.

Here are the results in full.

Paul Robinson = 7%

Michel Salgado = 5%

Chris Samba = 10%

Ryan Nelsen = 5%

Martin 'Back Dive' Olsson = 5%

Junior Hoilett = 5%

Jermaine Jones = 42%

Phil Jones = 21%

Just under half the votes, well played JJ!

JJ also had a good run out with the national team last week, hope his form will continue. i don't think he's as bad as people think he is in the past few weeks

He got my vote and I have to admit I wasn't so impressed with his first few games but then again the whole team has been poor. hope he carries on playing box to box like that manner, he really did stretch Arsenal at times.

Come again Tubzz!?

Lay off the acid tubzz. You must watch a different game to everyone else each week. Emo was OK but his set piece delivery was woeful. Just because it says on google that Jermaine Jones and N'Zonzi are PRIMARILY defensive midfielders doesn't mean thats what they play each match. Phil was the defensive anchor and the other two were more like central midfielders. JJ was box to box. Whenever he got a chance he was up the pitch. First ever point at the emirates and you still whine like a child. Stop being so fkin miserable! Or would you rather our central midfielders Andrews and Grella were playing? Lmfao.

Emo was awful, as a right winger he should be bombing down the wing taking players on and putting balls in the box for RSC but he lackes the pace and ability and ended up holding the ball up every time, which only works for the likes of BECKHAM or BENTLEY because they can put a decent cross in. I thought J.Jones played like N'Zonzi was playing last season covering box to box not just defensive and wasn't afraid of taking the ball forward (well deserved Man of the Match) performance.
