'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Kean admires Rovers character

Steve Kean has hailed his Rovers troops after they ground out a draw against second placed Arsenal.

Rovers have been about as much use as a chocolate fire guard on the road this season so it came as a massive surprise to see a resilient Rovers fight all the way to a 0-0 stalemate against a superior side at the Emirates.

And it was no fluke.

The character and the fight shown was the sort of stuff that Rovers will need in the run in and it did not go unnoticed by the Blackburn manager.

Kean told Premier League.com - 'I think the thing that pleased me the most is that you know when you come to places like this you aren't going to have the ball for too long, but I thought off the ball we were excellent.

'Even when we went down to ten men I thought the commitment and the togetherness was there for everybody to see.

'They were fighting for each tackle, they were fighting to hold onto each ball and I don't think there have been too many times that Arsenal haven't scored here.

'So for us to get a point here and in the manner in which we did was excellent.'

Great effort against the Gunners, I for one was really impressed.

I'll second that Mikey. It was no fluke and we should kick on from here. I would like to think we've had our bad spell of results and now it's over we should be ok to pick up at least 2-3 wins to keep us up where we belong.

it looks like kean could either get it all right or all wrong...totally spot on for the arsenal game except for the RSC decision
