Jermaine probably heading back to Germany

Rovers are set to lose out on a permanent move for on loan American midfielder Jermaine Jones as Schalke are reporting that they want him back.

Jones has been hard working, hard tackling but fairly non-descript and a bit reckless at times since his arrival but boss Steve Kean is, er, keen to keep hold of a player he has used regularly in the last few months.

Various media reports, including Sky Sports are reporting - 'If Blackburn were to beat the drop it had been widely reported that Rovers would try and make Jones' current deal a permanent one come the summer.

However, Schalke have now thrown a spanner in the works, with reports indicating they are eager to bring the 29-year-old back to Germany for next season.'

Personally I wouldn't get too worked up over this as he has not been THAT great.

I must say personally I wouldn't be that bothered if he didn't stay permanently...

I have a feeling Jones will end up at Rovers permantly, English football is better than German, and although Schalke may want to keep him now, I think it comes down to the player, although I still think he may cost a small fortune which is quite off putting. He has improved with each game, and works very hard, i'm sure with a full pre-season under his belt and playing in a rovers side which is playing with confidence that he can shine

hold the pony do u think he s gonna turn down champions league football to play in the coke cola championship any way this lad is useless we have 87 midfielders r ready i surpose a striker is out of the question

I agree with Mikey, he ain't that good or that important to the team, let him go back

Won't lose any sleep over it if he does go back. I think his namesake "Phil" or "The Zonz" play better in his position IMO.
