'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Venky's committed despite relegation worries

Venky's have confirmed their commitment to the Rovers cause as criticism mounts on their regime and their activities since taking over the club in November.

The Rao family have been receiving an endless amount of stick for their dealings in sacking Sam Allardyce, hiring Steve Kean, contradicting their own public statements and for initiating a period of change at the club.

Fears of relegation also loom large over Blackburn at the moment and whilst they acknowledge that they do worry about this they are as committed to the club as one could hope.

'Of course we are worried but we have to play well and get together as a team, and we have to get out of the situation' - Venkatesh Rao told the Lancashire Telegraph.

'You have to win sometimes and you have to lose sometimes, but we have to come out of this situation, that's very sure.

'But we are always positive and we will be positive.

'We are absolutely committed to the club and that won't be changing any day.'

First time they have come out and actually acknowledged there is a problem so fair play to them!

They cannot say anything else as it is their fault we are in this mess in the first place, so lets hope they learn from their mistakes.

They have little choice, as the Walkers struggled to sell for years, and the club ppears in a worst state now tha it was when nthye bought it, so they are here for the long term, and if they don't get real football men in to the run the club, then they are going to lose a lot of money too

I have no sympathy for Venkys, they have made some ridiculous decisions and some ludicrous statements that so far made the club look ridiculous, they have also placed Rovers in such a precarious position due to their idiotic ways. If they have the slightest intention of developing this club they need to completely reevaluate their strategies and the team they have to achieve this.

Given the fact that they've come in an and created a large amount of this chaos they should be committed to the club. Surviving relegation this season is only the start of further issues I fear??
