Jogger set to miss rest of the season

Keith Andrews is set to miss the rest of the season through injury.

Keith has been struggling with an injury for the last couple of weeks since being dropped from the side.

Andrews may have even played his last game for the club as the possibility of the Irishman leaving looms large with fans turning against him and the club having money to buy superior players to a man who is without doubt a trier but limited.

A couple of Championship clubs even had a big turned down to loan him in the last month or so.

Either way, it is apparent that the lack of Andrews in this crucial run in will be viewed as a bonus by many.

Luckily we have plenty of players that can play in his position...

It's a shame, only because he was set to join Palace on loan. Now we have to pay the donkey whilst he is even more useless than usual.

Mikey you should go into politics with comments like that. Why does everybody give Andrews such a hard time, he knows he isn't the most gifted footballer at Ewood, however he is one of if not the most professional players we have on our books. He always gives 100% whatever position he is asked to play. He never moans when not selected. He never moans when the morons boo him. Whilst I agree he isn't first team first choice, he does provide cover in several positions and always puts in a proper shift, unlike the permanently sick, lame and lazy at Ewood

Get well soon Keith, and whilst I appreciate you will probably do one in the summer, I hope you are better appreciated at your new club.

BnW99, whilst I fully agree with your comments (having posted an Andrews apology last year), recently he has not been putting in the work that usually allows forgiveness for his weaknesses. Having said that it may have been down to his injuries so I will not booo or mock him. Steve Keen on the other hand....grrrrrrr.

Oh well, won't be missed, Pity we don't get a few more injured who shouldnt be in the team then perhaps Kean would have to put our best team on the pitch :-)

roversfanben - you make me laugh - you slaughter Andrews - but you are devoted to Kean?!? WTF!

Ok, I'll reply to high FN1 and BnW in this comment. First off, don't kid yourselves, Andrew's does not always give 100% on the pitch, in fact I am pretty sure I can count on one finger how mant times he has done so this season. If you call running around and aimlessly pointing whilst constantly letting the ball float over your hard commitment, then you and I have different definitions of the word. More often than not, due to his lacklustre passing and his sheer inability to do anything but turn backwards and give the ball to either a defender or Robinson, he is a huge liability for us. And I refuse to give the guy the benefit of the doubt just because he is crap and for some people that seems to mean he should not come under the same criticism as other non performers in our team. What amazes me, FN1 is how quick you and other fans are to criticise Kean and players such as Roberts for not performing, yet you give Andrew's a free ride. Kean has under performed this season and if he does not improve, he probably deserves the sack, why then can the same not be said for a poor player who adds nothing to our team?

Ha ha! Thanks for the ringing endorsement blue_n_white!

The point I was making roversfanben was that if Andrews is so bad, you can see it, I can see it, hell every man and his dog can see it - why does Kean keep picking him! My main though was - Andrews is not a good premier league player, he has been average or below for us - but as far as I'm concerned Kean picks the team, it is his responsibility. And I don't give Andrews a free ride - I try not to criticise the players unless it is in a positive way as I support my team - however I am also a realist when it comes to how good or bad someone is - Kean at the moment is not good - and yet if you look at my previous messages - I'm still backing him as I think that is the right thing to do.

To be blunt Andrews has served his purpose and got some good Premier League football out of it but it's time for ways to part.
