Rovers assistant manager John Jensen has settled into life at Ewood Park and is after a longer stay at the club.
Jensen was appointed as Steve Kean's assistant back in December on a deal that lasted until the end of the season but the Danish 'goal machine' (who regularly takes shooting practice you will be not exactly shocked to hear) wants to discuss a longer contract.
Jensen told Bold.DK - 'I'd love to extend my contract, but how long a new contract will run and what it would otherwise contain, I cannot comment on.'
'It is up to the board and the new owners to look through it and then come back with an offer of a new contract for me.'
'I am extremely pleased to work in the Premier League and I look forward every day to get out and train the players.
'The players have been fantastic to me. It has gone well.'
The assistant Rovers boss admits that results have not exactly gone according to plan in recent weeks (no brown stuff Sherlock) but John insists there is reason for optimism.
Jensen continued - 'Results have not gone our way especially the last one.'
'After all, we played some good games where we have not received anything, and then we played two bad games where we did not deserve anything.
'It's been a bag of mixed sweets.
'One should primarily look at the last match and think I we were penalised. They got a penalty in the last minute that there was no sign of.
'We came back twice, and the players showed good work-rate and we deserved one point.
'The performances in training have been really good the last couple of weeks and I'm very hopeful.
'If we now can show the same performance as we did last Saturday we'll get points and get away from the relegation area.
'I am very optimistic.'
This might put to bed rumours that the players aren't exactly fond of Jensen?
