Kean facing sack or demotion?

It seems that under fire boss Steve Kean has got both barrells aimed well and truly at him this morning as depending on who you believe he faces the sack or a demotion from his role as manager at Blackburn Rovers.

Since the controversial 3-2 defeat to Fulham at the weekend the News of the World has been on the case with news of an emergency meeting in London that could lead to Kean being sacked... two months after being told he would 'unsackable'.

Kean has presided over four losses in five matches as Rovers slip agonisingly close to the relegation zone in the Premier League.

The other option that Venkys have it seems is a move to put Kean back into the coaching shuffle and replace him with a higer profile manager with a bit of pedigree.

You want some names? Ok then, the Daily Mail give you either Claudio Ranieri or Martin Jol as potential replacements.

This particular option would allow Venky's to avoid the embarassment of sacking their Kentaro employee and save Kean some dignity as well.

There are even rumours that Kean 'is safe', this according to sources close to Venkys.

So to say things are a little up in the air is a bit of an understatement.

interesting development, who can say what will happen with the snap decision making that has characterised venky's reign...

I'd settle for a new manager, and he can return to coaching providing the players are really behind him

I for one would love to see him step down as manager and return to his coaching role which he seemed to do quite well.

Really don't know what to think at the moment. He got off to a decent start but it's all fallen flat on it's face now. I think if Venky's really are intent on doing it they should do it now as we have a two week break and not wait til next week, but only if they have a decent man lined up who could give us a lift like Hodgson has managed at WBA. There are a few games left to play that we should almost certainly be winning but it's so tight any three teams could go down in the bottom half.
ITSALLROVER
If we are avoid the dreaded drop he should go now. He should also leave the club as his position would be untenable. Just a pity John Williams is not here to give him the news.

in the words of al pacino GET HIM OUT OF HERE

it's natural for rumours to come up with a run of results like this. it's hard for me to see venkys swallowing their pride and sack him, although there are times when you know you just need to cut it loose

I had said since day one Kean was appointed, we are in big trouble. Kean is clueless, so are the Venky's, these two perfect combination will send us down, unless there's a miracle. Kean OUT! Venky's OUT!!!!!

he'll win one game and you'll all be calling him a hero.

This is all going th same way as Ince. Starts well as the new, inexprienced manager hasn't had the time to erode the good work of the previous manager. Over time as the new managers ideas (or lack thereof), inability to organis the team start to manifest themselves the form dips and becomes erratic eventually ending in a rather long run of defeats which result in the inevitible sacking of the clueless buffoon at the helm, in this case Mr Steve Kean.

he could do worse then get chris coleman in they worked well for us two heads are better then one
