Nelsen to head home

Ryan Nelsen is reportedly heading back to New Zealand to comfort his family after the New Zealand earthquake left him sweating on his pregnant sister and relatives caught up in the disaster.

Nelly has had a bad week with problems back in his native homeland leaving it debatable whether he would face Aston Villa at the weekend.

Nelsen rounded off a terrible week from a personal point of view by being sent off in the dying moments of Rovers 4-1 loss to Villa and Kean has revealed that he has given the option to Ryan of heading home.

Reports this morning have suggested that the club captain has taken Kean up on the offer as he will now have to miss the clash with Fulham anyway through suspension.

With an upcoming suspension it makes perfect sense to let him go home, after all football comes second to travesties like this
