Formica stars on Rovers bow

Mauro Formica scored on his Blackburn Rovers 'debut' as the Blue and White reserves side gave Everton a bit of a tonking.

Formica joined fellow new boy Ruben Rochina in the impressing upon debut in a behind closed doors friendly division.

Rovers reserves eventually triumphed 5-1 with Josh Morris playing a major role in the victory.

Both the new lads are now in contention for the main squad that travels to Villa Park on Saturday.

Yep sounds good - I hope that when they have their full debut that aren't being rushed in to solve problems for Kean - but instead brought in at the right time.

Reserve football and first-team Premier League football are two completely different things aren't they so we've got to make sure we don't get carried away with the time and the place right for them. All it takes is for that start to be a poor one and it could be downhill all the way.
