'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ex-Rovers boss taking his sweet time

In a sort of 'where are they now' moment, Sam Allardyce has confirmed that he is looking to get back into the management game as and when the right job comes along.

Since his sacking from Rovers Big Sam has been linked with most of the Premier League jobs that have become available but has not committed to any of them.

Allardyce told to TALKSPORT - 'Yes, I'm looking for a way back but I'm not too rushed - it's about the selection of the right job for me.

'In terms of how the board and owners are, can we have a working relationship that tries to bring some success to the football club?

'That's really what it's about for me. Hopefully I can get back into the crazy world of football.'

Spot the cheapshot in there anybody?!

I somehow picture him as the manager of someone like Wolves or Wigan next, I don't know why just a hunch me thinks...

He could manage anyone in the league, I could even see one of the big four taking a gamble with him.

Oooo I wouldn't say that myself personally, he has the man management skills I think but would face a lot of resentment in higher placed teams for his "style" of football.

He can come back to Rovers

I think he's defiitely waiting for Martinez to get the boot so he can jump in at Wigan. There's no way he'll ever be a "Top 4" manager unless he maybe goes abroad and does a ridiculously good job. Best of luck to the big man whatever he ends up doing.
ITSALLROVER
I don't think anyone from the top four or five will come knocking anytime soon, however, he'll not be short (and doubt he has already) of offers.
