'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dubai trip on the cards

Hey we're all off to Dubai!

We'll we are not really but the Rovers players are as they look to take a break and a fresh angle on a disappointing run of games.

Steve Kean, chief tour guide will hope the trip does some good as Rovers have hardly been in good shape in the last 3 games.

Kean told the Lancashire Telegraph - "I think a reason for that performance could probably because we have lost a few on the bounce.

'What happens is there is an edginess about the team when we had possession.

"Maybe we have lost a little bit of confidence to keep hold of the ball.

'We have to keep believing in ourselves though and have faith in our ability.

"We are going to take the lads away and try and get some warm weather training into them.

'Hopefully all the niggles and injuries can clear up and we can come back for the Villa game bright and breezy.

"We have done it the last couple of years and any time we have done that there has been a big response, a spark, a number of points added to the board.

'Hopefully they can energise themselves and kick on."

So to translate for everyone. If you are an ordinary working citizen you get a warning if you don't perform.

If you are a footballer you get a holiday in one of the world's up and coming tourist hot spots.

Go figure.

I went to Ewood park for the first time at the weekend. Cost me 500 euro and took me an 18 hour round trip. Amazing weekend in Blackburn but the best bit of the whole weekend was meeting the team in manchester airport today on their way to Dubai and getting a picture with the legend Ryan Nelsen. He apologised for the game being so bad. This man has gone even higher in my estimation Absolute stonewall LEGEND!!!!!
