'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rovers get royal seal of approval

Amazing scenes at Ewood Park on Saturday as Prince Albert of Monaco made a surprise visit to the Rovers for our 0-0 draw against Newcastle United.

The Prince was asked if he was a Rovers fan, and he is quoted in the Daily Mail as saying - 'I am now. And for the next few hours'.

At the end of the game he then chipped in - 'I'm sorry it wasn't a better result.

A bit of a scrappy game and a few bad calls but an enjoyable day all the same.'

He was also introduced to the players at full time.

Chris Samba even explained the dismal showing to the man himself - 'I apologised for the lack of a show in that we didn't score but the prince is a football man and he understands that these things happen.'

Loving the positivity. Wonder how he felt after his beloved AS Monaco didn't get Formica!
