Roq and Niko back for Toon visit

Roque Santa Cruz and Niko Kalinic are both back in contention for a starting spot for tomorrow's big match with Newcastle United.

Cruz has been out injured for the last two games and Niko missed the match with Wigan before smacking in a brace for Croatia midweek for personal reasons but both look to be back.

There is also a swift rumour doing the round that Mauro Formica and Ruben Rochina could be making their first appearances in the matchday squad as Steve Kean gets a healthy choice as to who to fill the first team spots.

Rovers will likely choose from -

Robinson, Bunn, Salgado, Hanley, Nelsen, Samba, Givet, Olsson, Hoilett, Pedersen, Lowe, Andrews, Grella, N'Zonzi, J Jones, Dunn, Emerton, Diouf, Roberts, Kalinic, Santa Cruz, Benjani and (possibly) Formica, Rochina

Would be nice to get the two new boys involved that is for sure...

Very good news. I think if we had either Roque or Kalinic against Wigan we would have stood a better chance of getting the early goals and killing the game off. Would be nice to throw the new lads on 2nd half with a 2-3 goal lead against the Toon!!

just what we need for Sat.............. we need a strong defensive game and not to concede though.
