Shock Premier Return For Former Rover

Former Blackburn Rovers striker Shefki Kuqi looks set to make a return to the Premier League!!

Kuqi had (should that be has) a cult following at Ewood Park and the Finnish veteran was being linked with (now looks certain to complete) a shock return to the Premier League with Newcastle United understood to be close to completing the signing the 34-year-old on a short-term contract to help solve their own striking problems.

The Finland International recently had his contract with Swansea City terminated by mutual consent, which left Kuqi free to move to another club outside the transfer window and his trademark belly flop goal celebration could seen be seen again in the Premier League. As fate would have it we've got to play Newcastle again next up, I don't want to see this celebration against us!!

sasman
i liked him, he was like a truck barging through the middle of the defence lol scored a few vital goals for us off the bench!
sasman
He had his purpose that was for sure but he couldn't trap a bag of cement back in the day, he was a beast in the air though! And that is officially the best celebration in the history of mankind - did you hear about the lad in league two who tried it and broke his collar bone?!
Mikey Delap
Hope he is playing on Saturday.
Ewoodrover

sasman
