Hanley bags debut Scottish call up

Grant Hanley has been rewarded for his ascension up to first team duty with the mighty Rovers by being called up for the first time to the Scotland squad for their Carling Nations Cup clash against Northern Ireland.

Scotland boss Levein said he had been impressed by Hanley's efforts since noticing him in recent times and has rewarded the young man by giving him a shot in his new look side.

Levein told the BBC - 'Grant is a young lad who has impressed in the short time he has been involved in the Premier League matches.'

'I've watched him four times and he has all the attributes to be a top-class centre-back.'
