Rochina Signs!

Rovers have made their first permanent signing of the January transfer window by completing a deal to sign Barcelona striker Ruben Rochina.

The 19 year old has signed a deal which will keep him at the club until 2015 after joining for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of 1 million pounds.

Believed to be a great prospect for the future but one which could make an immediate impact for the first team.

Steve Kean told the Rovers official site:

'Ruben is a genuine addition to our senior squad, a young player with great ability, who can play in a number of attacking positions. He joins our elite development group, alongside the likes of Phil Jones and Junior Hoilett, and will compete for a place in the team from the word go.'

With all the ridiculous transfer fees doing the rounds, we seem to have bagged ourselves a bargain!

Great signing. Could well be the next Torres, seen him on YouTube and £1m looks like very good business at a time when Torres is off to Chelski for £50m.

Another young striker - good news. I hope he settles well and has a long and fruitful career at Rovers!

with roque out, we may see him in action soon.

Sounds excellent! Looks like Barca have inserted a buy back clause into the deal but then if Barca want him back in a few years then he must be good!!!
