Larsson bid made by Rovers

The Sebastian Larsson chase has reached boiling point with Rovers making a bid for his services this morning.

The Swede is out of contract in the summer and is looking to move on to pastures new after a good spell at St Andrews.

The bid is believed to be in the region of £500,000 which would represent something of a bargain.

Newcastle have already tried and failed to capture the man with a sweet free kick and Rovers have stepped in to battle Villa for his signature and the fact he is on the books with the dreaded Kentaro means we should be favourites.

Apparently big 500k - 800k ... either is an absolute bargain. Ready made replacement for Diouf?

This would be a great signing. Could finally have a natural replacement for Bentley at long last and another great option for set pieces alongside MGP. Get him signed Venky's

Ohh its 500k... could rise to 800k with add ons. Trying to get deal done within next 24 - 48 hours so he can make debut on sunday

Great deal.. great player, has stalled recently still would of preferred Bentley shame about his ego. Might as well use the pros of Kentaro, as they have lots of cons.

Bargain price, and would be a good squad player, but would expect a little more from this window, Not jumping for joy or disappointed that he may sign

Bargain.. but I agree with Glen.. He is a good 4-5m valued player.. if he had 3 years on his contract.. but I'd like more..
