'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Argentine link emerges

Blackburn Rovers have been strongly linked with a move to Mauro Formica by reports coming out of the home country of the man himself.

Galatasaray, Genoa and the powerhouse that is West Ham United have been linked for the young attacking midfielder in recent times and the figure suugested would be a not too expensive £3.5 million.

Mauro currently plays for Newell's Old Boys (who we can only assume are named after former Rover Mike Newell) and is known to be keen on a move to a higher profile league.

And you know a player is good when he has his own you tube video right? Well in the comments section is the offending item.

An attacking midfiedler you say? A phrase including the words nail and head come to mind.

Hopefully this one will happen, looks good on vids and highly rated, although i must admit Villanueva looked awesome on youtube, and even at rovers you could see he had talent, but england was hhust to physical for him

Carlos would be a better fit for now though wouldn't he than under Ince/Allardyce...
Mikey Delap
Could be another Villaneueva but I agree with Mikey he would be more suited to our recently improved style of play. he was never going to flourish under Big Sam and I was disappointed to see him go as he was a technically gifted player and that's what we're missing at the moment.

With Santa Cruz, Kallinic, Roberts, Benjani, Mame Diouf, why do we still need another striker? Should sign a left back instead, bring back Stephen Warnock.
metalrover
he is more of a midfeild playmaker tbf, and the likely hood is, Benjani Roberts will depart within the next 6 months, whilst Cruz and Diouf are only on loan, so although now we appear to have numbers, come the summer we will be very short on attacking options
