Santa Comes Back To Ewood

The Official Blackburn Rovers website has just confirmed that Roque Santa Cruz has sealed a loan return to the Ewood Park.

Roque just couldnt crack the star studded Manchester City squad after his 17.5 million pound move from Blackburn. He will hope to reignite his career at Blackburn, possibly earning a permanent deal in the summer.

In his first discussion, Roque indicates he is ready to get things going.

" I feel like I am coming home, this has been the easiest decision of my career. I want to get playing and scoring goals again...."<

Roque's loan deal could soon be followed by the signing of American midfielder, Jermaine Jones, with reports indicating he currently is undergoing his own talks....more on that one later!

Welcome back home Roque Santa Cruz!

Wonder what shirt number he will get? 18 maybe?
rover23

Great move on your part, really good business. Fleeced City to the tune of 17 and a half million quid, then manage to get him back on loan two injury-filled years later. Bloody brilliant.;)

This could go either way but it is great to see him back and to hear his comments is very nice! Go for it Roq!
Mikey Delap
good to hear people positive about his return. I still think he's a *****er after his comments when manufacturing the move to city but stuff it, for 17mil and a few goals on his return, maybe its worth it. the**** better bleed blue and white for the rest of the season
retroflair31
with hoilett and olsson flying on the flanks, he will start firing in no time!!
DommyWalker
What squad number is he? 18 or 24?! I am being told different...
Mikey Delap
I wasn't too sure about this at first with the injury problems he has but fingers crossed he can stay fit and fire the goals in again.
ITSALLROVER
Can he stay fit and away from injury? He haven't managed to do that for the past 2 years, can't see him doing it now...

A good loan signing - I can't believe were paying his full £90k a week wages though! Also, "feels like coming home" please - he's here to promote himself and get a move to a top club - I think he's a good player, but I won't forget the way he left in pursuit of money and glory.
