'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Roberts loves himself a Cruz

Jason Roberts has put his personal backing behind the move for Roque Santa Cruz claiming that the move would 'add value to the club'.

Roberts was at the club when Santa Cruz was last at Rovers and knows him well from his time here. Cruz was spotted this morning at Brockhall and there is one guy in Roberts who is very pleased to see that handsome face again.

J-Rob told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast - 'It would be great if Roque came back. He's a great guy.

"He scored a lot of goals and I would be happy to see him come back. He`ll add some value to the club"

'He's had his problems at City but he was fantastic for us. He scored a lot of goals and I would be happy to see him come back. He`ll add some value to the club.'

Roberts himself has spoke of his desire to remain at Rovers and explained he has even had a chat about extending his stay at the club.

Roberts didn't even have a squad number at the start of the season but has found himself back in favour in recent times and the Grenadan isn't seeking a move away.

Roberts continued - 'I`m talking to Blackburn about extending my stay. There is interest form other clubs, but I`m happy at Blackburn.'

i like j-rob, hes not the best striker in the world but he is a model professional and puts his head down and gets on with it
LHrover
I heard a whisper that Wigan were after him again. He seems happy to stay but I would like to see more goals from him otherwise i would sooner see Niko playing.

Scoring more goals would be good, but dont forget the odd important strike this season. Wigan and Newcastle. He does do his bit and we all know hes not a natural goalscorer. No pressure Jase, love for you to stay!
im_a_blackburn_rover
Still think he may leave, but speaks voulumes after all the messing about he has had that he would still consider a new contract
glen9mullan
give j-rob an extention- the one constant in the past few years of striking uncertainty. an absolute professional

Has Sam Allardyce leaving given J-Rob a reason to want to stay?
