Rovers make Ronaldinho bid!!

Sky Sports News are reporting Rovers have made a bid to sign Brazilian maestro Ronaldinho from AC Milan!

The fee being quoted is £6.2 million, however this may have been mistranslated, as earlier this week it had been rumoured that would be the amount Ronny would receive a year if he were to sign.

The signing of the ex-world footballer of the year would certainly cause a stir at Ewood, and would be sure to cause many divided opinions.

Whilst nobody would say no to signing the Brazilian playmaker, the owners completing the deal and not the manager would not go down well.

One thing is for certain though, It would be a major coupe for the club if we could get him.

Backwards and forwards today on this rumour!!! Imagine the hysteria if he signed?!

Sure Steve Kean would be happy if we got him. All sounds a bit pie in the sky at the moment though for me. Venky's apparently stating they will up their bid if necessary... might as well have said "how much do you want for him". Don't they realise we need some money left over for Beckam!! LOL

The question on everybody's lips... "would we still be last on match of the day"
tombo1984
I read somewhere that they were offering £140k / wk in wages!!! As cool as the guy sounds, is it smart to have so much of the wage budget all in one player? Are Venkys so rich that they're going to try to do what Cit£h are doing? The only thing I can answer is Tombo's point, definately wouldn't be last on MOTD anymore!

Would love to see him in the PL!

Please let this be true!!!!!!!

I'll be absolutely amazed if Venkys managed to sign him, he's on massive wages. Santa Cruz is a more realistic target, but still on 80k p/w. Bring back the old boys...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. Clueless chicken farmers, dont know the first thing when it comes to football, first they sack alladyce after expecting a high finish with 5 million and a poor/average team and then think ronaldinhio will actually want to come haha! Least their being ambitious tbh and ronny might also like his chicken and he aint gonna go short at blackburn!

Well this would be an interesting transfer window - if Ronnie comes he is a great player, past his best but still good. Would he come with the right attitude to play and work hard for the team? That is the thing I'd be worried about. Still the shirt sales, tv revenue and interest in rovers would be massive. Would Kean be able to manage him as well? Ronnie is a bit of a playboy and may not like being told what to do by an unknown coach... still it will be interesting to see what happens!

Whatever happens I just can't get enough of headlines linking Rovers with a player like Ronaldinho. Love it.

You have to ask if the Venkys are living in the real world!

A lot of media pundits are giving us stick for this - The Sun, Talksport, etc... Whats wrong with showing a little ambition?
FreidelNo.1
I don't think that's the problem fredielno1, your new chicken farmers give the impression off that they no absolutely zilch about football, i mean the indian women was on sky sports this morning and she just does not know the first thing when it comes to football. And their is ambition and then there is just plain stupidity, they still probably think he is the best player in the world...very odd and quite frankly embarrasing.

don't think it will happen and don't want it to happen. what good does it do to put all eggs in one basket and no other players to support him? if they are so into pr, why don't they sort our their external and internal communications first? i am so sick of going back and forth on every issues
