'If It's Football, It's Vital'

J-Rob surprised at reversal of fortunes

Jason Roberts, he of the deadly shooting accuracy, has been reflective to the point where he has come out with footballs great cliches - 'It's a funny old game'.

Roberts was without a squad number and looking for a move to the out backs of London and er, Wigan as he was so far down the pecking order at Rovers that he was considered a less potent goal threat than Benjani.

But Roberts has put his turn of good fortune down to belief and commitment. Don't believe me? Fine pin your lug holes back...

Roberts told Sky Sports - 'Maybe I could not see this coming but you always have faith in your ability. Everyone at this level believes they are good enough to be playing all the time. I certainly do.

'I will continue doing what I have done. It is a bit of a turn around. It is a strange game.'

See told you ;)

I must say I am more surprised than Roberts! Especially after THAT miss against Chelsea.

true still think sam should get rid of him plus when he s scoring goals we could call him the full article and try get 2 million for him lol

i hope we will offer him a contract. although he may not be the best starting striker, he's always a good striker to bring off the bench.

can't wait till he has finally gone, been a complete waste of money imo, and hasnt looke like scoring in the games he has started

Although some slate him (as I have done in the past) his stats are pretty decent.. I'd rather keep hold of him until the summer than let him go free in January. I would like Robbie Keane though!

Sam should land either Santa Cruz or Keane in January, plus David Bentley on loan. Keane won't come cheap, but Santa might be available for a cut price deal, as City wants to offload him. Bringing back Bentley is great, he's quality and Sam will be able to bring out the best of him. But then again, it's disappointing for young Hoilett.

he is following us on twitter! lol Rovers legend, sign him up for life, cant believe LH Rover and his thoughts on him......:D Seriously though, JR has always had one of the best work ethics in our club, as someone said it, if his finishing was anywere near as good he would be in a big 4 club!
