'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Big Sam loves himself a bit of Morris

Rovers youngster Josh Morris has done enough in his two sub appearances to warrant a special mention from Sam Allardyce.

Morris has made two sub appearances in the last two matches with cameos against Wolves and Man United and has certainly looked the part out on the left.

Morris has followed in the footsteps of Phil Jones, Martin Olsson and Grant Hanley by graduating from the up and coming Rovers academy and is set for a bright future.

His manager certainly seems to think so...

'He's another youngster bursting through the seams,' Allardyce told BBC Radio Lancashire.

'It's a real delight for me to have so many young players in the squad.'

'We've pushed him up into the squad to see what he's made of - he's had two little tastes now, one was very disappointing last week because he made his debut on the subs bench at Old Trafford but exciting for him and his family.

It's a real delight for me to have so many young players in the squad

'This was all about coming on to allow the team to win a game of football, so he's experienced both ends which I hope will help his development.'

Great to see another youngster coming through! All he can do is keep showing us what he is capable of.

Great to see another young lad coming through, especially in an attacking position as it's harder to find those. However, I think it's a little early to be getting so excited about Morris. Fingers crossed he kicks on though.
