Rovers chasing Spanish 'English' forward

Sam Allardyce and Blackburn Rovers have been hot on the case of La Liga striker Dani Osvaldo, according to the Daily Mail.

Espanyol are a bit of the creek without anything to steer when it comes to financial stability at present and selling one of their main assets seems to be the only way to raise some funds (barring a mystery approach from a large chicken based company of course).

Osvaldo is described as an English style striker, he has an Italian passport and was born in Argentina... so it is fair to say he is a bit of a mixed bag.

As all good journalists do I have found a you tube video of some of his finest work - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pbz29FC3er4&feature=related

Looks like he can finish one on ones and has some composure, there is a joke in there about our current forwards but I forget sometimes ;)

Looks OK doesn't he but then they all do in these You Tube videos?!

He certainly does look like a good all round striker. Hope he's not another injury prone though we've got enough of those already.
