Well, well, well - look who it is!

Well, well, well - look who it is!

The rumours doing the rounds are that Sam Allardyce and Blackburn Rovers are weighing up a £4million January move to bring striker Roque Santa Cruz back to Boll-Ewood Park - two years after he left the club for £17 million.

The Paraguayan sealed a high profile move to mega spenders Manchester City back in the summer of 2009 but has been something of a wonder flop since his arrival. With a rprice tag like that for a man with a history of injuries it was always going to be a struggle.

To make the rumours even saucier, Roque has told those close to him that he would welcome a move back to the club where he played the best football of his career.

So City want rid, Rovers want a striker to replace the guy they have never replaced properly and the price tag is £4 million (allegedly).

It could happen.

Could he swallow his pride and let it happen? Or will Fulham step in?

I would love to see him back at Ewood, if BFS could keep him fit! He was brill for us the first season! I could have him on my screensaver again! lol

I would think about it but only if he could guarantee fitness - which he probably can't. A fit Roque back at Rovers would be great though, but we need a new Bentley type to be throwing in those pinpoint crosses for him off the flanks.

I think we would do better to look elsewhere. He was good at his best but as everybody will state his fitness is an issue. wouldn't mind so much if it was a swap for Grella? lol

I have to agree with sas - 17m was crazy and probably double his value at the time. His antics when he left though, poor attitude?

i dont' think RSC and Man City could swallow their pride and come back to blackburn at a cut-throat price. I also agree with fransavarese that he would need a Bentley to flourish here again.

agree on hughes thankyou... but i wouldn't want him back. injury prone and inconsistant... as a self respecting club we shoudn't take him back after the crap he said when leaving. what a *****er

Cruz has not played very much since leaving Rovers and his ability to past a medical would always be an issue due to the tendonitis in his knee's, Id certainly welcome him back but i dnt think he would be the same player second time around
