Rovers chase Belgian League forward

Rovers chase Belgian League forward

Blackburn are reportedly interested in Standard Liege striker Mohammed Tchite and have sent scouts out to watch the man ahead of the January transfer window.

Tchite is 26 years of age and is widely considered to be hot property in Belgium, coming from the same club that Everton bought Marouanne Fellaini from.

Rumours are abound that scouts watched Tchite hit the net again at the weekend as the Burundi forward continued his impressive form.

Standard Liege will not want to see their star man leave but it is believed an offer of £3million will be enough to tempt them to sell.

With Jason Roberts still likely to leave the club and Rovers short of goals at the business end of the field a move could appeal.

We were interested in him over the summer but he went back to Belgium, Not sure he would be available a just a few months after going back, however nice to be getting linked with players as we need some new ones soon

personnally I think we should give Nick Blackman a chance as he is really shining with Motherwell at the moment and I think he could suit well in Big Sam's system..

Blackman is indeed shining at Motherwell, but thats because they play a slick passing game. (I support them too, so Blackman is my God). He would need some Kalinic-esque strength training before he'd be any good for Rovers, which is why I'd be happy to see him spend the rest of the season on loan up here.

Not sure, But Blackmans got 9 from 13 games so far!!! It may just be worth getting him back in January.
