Rovers In For Veteran Czech??

Blackburn Rovers are understood to be preparing a move to sign veteran AC Milan defender Marek Jankulovski??

The Czech Republic international is going to be out of contract with the Italian giants at the end of the season and it's believed that his contract at the San Siro isn't going to be renewed so Rovers are plotting a January move to arrange a pre-contract with the 33-year-old so the fullback can sign as a FREE agent at the end of the season. Jankulovski is also being linked with German club Werder Bremen and wants to keep his options open.

He said: "I will decide what to do at the end of the season, but now nothing is certain."

The Czech would represent something of a coup for Rovers should Sam Allardyce be able to bring him from Milan to Ewood Park, however, he's very much a veteran at the tail end of his career now not that the 2007 Champions League winner (with Milan) can have his ability as a footballer doubted.

Good player but is he really what we need???

great, now we can have "veteran" full-backs on BOTH sides so we can get absolutely tormented on the sides.

experienced right back on a free ? doesnt sound to bad to me, although i dont really see him keeping up in the premier league, Seria a is a lot slower.. but if the wages are low why not take a gamble
tazza
