More to come from Benjani, says, er, Benjani

Rovers striker Benjani has promised the Rovers fans that there is more to come from him, despite picking up a little niggle after 45 minutes at the weekend.

The Zimbabwean was impressive in the lone striker role and bagged his first Blackburn goal with a composed header in the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea.

But despite being withdrawn at half time, Benji insists that he is in good shape.

Benjani spoke to Rovers TV and said - 'The gaffer was just cautious and I'm definitely okay for the next match.

'I'm starting to feel my fitness is coming back and let's hope I play more in the future. I'm almost there I just need more playing time.'

Benjani's breaking of his duck is something of a relief for him after his summer move but would rather he didn't score if it meant the team winning.

Benjani continued - 'It was a big relief - let's hope I can score more for Blackburn now - but it is not so nice if you score and the team lose.

'We didn't take our chances and against a team like Chelsea they will punish you.'

I am glad to see him off the mark, he has looked good enough to me so far, despite many peoples fears.

There is flexibility with our forward line if Big Sam would drop his stance and have a look at it...

Haha I was thinking that LH. Gotta say I thought Benjani did (surprisingly) well in those 45 mins. More of the same please!

i think he could well prove to be a nice freebie

he's certainly in form right now...don't forget he single-handedly created our goal at liverpool too.

Well if we play the ball on the floor like we did 1st 45 mins we should be able to start gettin some goals in the back of the net!

Who Is The Premier League's Penalty Save King?

Another boring international break has hit this March, so if you've ever wondered who has saved the most penalties in Premier League history - wonder no more!

Irish Eyes Are Smiling

Blackburn`s game against Doncaster had already been called off. If it hadn`t, it definitely would with the Republic of Ireland`s decision to include two defenders in the final squad.

No Tippy-Tappy Performer

Bradley Dack has proven plenty of ability on the ball and has a keen eye for a goal, but the former Gillingham man has also show he's physically able and willing to get stuck in.

Modest Marksman

You'll not find many who haven't been impressed by Armstrong since he came to Blackburn. The on-loan Newcastle forwards goalscoring exploits speak for themselves.
