Rovers looking at Goulon

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is reportedly hot on the case French midfielder Herold Goulon, who is available on a free transfer.

Goulon, 22, is apparently interested in the Premier League after spending the early part of his life in his native France.

Allardyce would be free as a bird to bring in Goulon as a he is a free agent and he can move as and where he likes outside of the restrictive transfer windows.

The player, who has a good reputation, came through the exotic sounding Clairefontaine Academy in France and joined Le Mans (home of the 24 hour race racing fans) in 2009.

Anyone? Any knowledge?

I remember when he was at Middlesborough but never saw him play, seemed to get quite a regular spot at Le Mans
marsmanic
he can only be so good if he's without a club at the age of 22?

my mum used to say, you get em young enough, the possibilities are endless!
LHrover
i thought MJ said that?

Was highly rated a few years ago, but has been capped at under 21 level this year so for free, why not
glen9mullan
Well i assume he left Le Mans because they were relegated, if hes been capped at U21 this year then why not, enough French players in the squad for him to adjust, lived in England before and he will cost sweet fa.
marsmanic
Nothing to lose by signing him on a short term deal, if he can cut it in the prem, can extend his contract. But do we still need another holding midfielder?
metalrover
Maybe sam wants to play him where jones is playing at the moment and push phil further forward. The lad is too good to be kept in front of the back 4
del
Flipping heck! Phil will be up front before we know it!!!
Mikey Delap
He's the next Vieira by all accounts. what a way to give the Zonz another kick up the backside... Sign the lad who nicked his claim to fame. They will have to do a Harry Hill style fight to decide who is THE next Vieira lol

I've lost count of the number of times I've heard 'the next Viera' over the last few of years!! And none of em have panned out!!
