Emo speaks on lack of opportunities

Emo speaks on lack of opportunities

Rovers midfielder/defender/striker/general dogsbody Brett Emerton has spoken at his annoyance with his lack of first team opportunities.

Brett has been on the fringes of the side this season but has been firmly behind in form El Hadji Diouf for a starting place with Hadji stuttering form and something of a post World Cup mini slump from Emo himself.

But in a rare sound bite from Brett, he has vented his frustration at what has unfolded so far this season but admits he understands why he hasn't been prominent.

Emo spoke in the Daily Star: 'It has been frustrating for me.

'As a player you always want to be playing but the boys have been doing a decent job and I recognise that.

'I'm not the sort to go knocking on the manager's door. I try to let my feet do the talking on the pitch, on the training ground and when I get my opportunity.'

One who will always be welcome back to Ewood after he retires for sure, one of the rovers players you'd have to buy a pint if you saw him out! (I'd guilt trip Andrews into buying the whole bar a round)

Still got plenty to offer and can play in a number of positions, hopefully will get more games as i'd hate to see him leave through lack of games
