Allardyce questions players

Rovers manager Big Sam Allardyce has questioned the Rovers players attitude and flexibility in the wake of throwing away ANOTHER lead last night.

Rovers have been fairly quick out of the blocks this season but have slumped to lose an advantage on five occasions... resulting in dropped points and an angry large man on the training ground.

Big Sam has laid the blame at the feet of his players and wants more determination.

Big Sam spoke to Rovers.co.uk and said - 'A game lasts 90 minutes, not 45 minutes, It seems to be quite a problem for us the second half. We have got in front in most games we have played in and not managed to maintain our lead.

'We can't find the right determination to hang on to a lead. We have got in front six times out of seven this year and have only won two games.

'It shows you how well we are doing in the first half but then we just capitulate. We did it again last night and I have to question the lad's attitude about coping with a team that is going to change the way they play.'

This is all well and good Big Sam and the players are responsible for what they produce but the buck stops with you - you must share the blame.

He is talking a lot at the moment isn't he?!?

What does he expect when we just punt it up, everything comes back and eventually the other team are going to score. We never attempt to retain possesion. Not just the players Sam, look at your tactics, for once maybe your wrong?

Maybe a man good enough to manage Barca, Real or ManU should be having a word with himself as well as his players?
Amos.
Perhaps if we actually play on the ground and here's a thought play defense then midfield then forwards instead of defence to forward we may actually retain the ball and be able to play along the ground. Sam your a clown and maybe switching your medication would improve your tactics. If we lose against Blackpool this weekend then we can kiss any chance of pickin up points come October

Agree with the above comments. Sam shut up and sort out our style of play

Only Sam is to blame for last nights exit, He didnt take the tie serioiusly, he made loads of changes. What happened to fielding your best side to win games? Villa put out a near reserve side, which should have given rovers a perfect opportunity to make the next round by fielding our strongest side, With Blackpool being our next match there would have been no harm in that,

The answer to being overtaken is to score more goals, not sit back. Overall we have played better this year than last but the results have not come and it is looking dodgy with our next 3 opponents can't see many points.....will Sam be removed???? The takeover has gone quiet so maybe there is hope it will happen and a "football" manager will come in and we will soar up the league..then again pigs might fly.

A bit harsh blaming the players, it was a changed line up. A lot is riding on the Blackpool game this weekend. A win would give us confidence going into the tough games we've got lined up afterwards.
