'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rovers will scout Ali Syed

The current Rovers board have today assured fans that the club will comprehensively do due diligence on Mr Ahsan Ali Syed and for that matter any potential new owner - to protect the club.

Fears have again be raised after further 5live investigation's showed that Mr Ali Syed may have UK debts from his time living in the country... something that is unproven but is still a concern.

Mr Ali Syed has reportedly finished his due diligence of club accounts but it is now time for the Walkers and the trustees to do their bit for Blackburn Rovers by checking out financial records and proof of funds before approving any takeover.

A Rovers spokesman spoke to Sky Sports and said - 'The club has been for sale for some time and, for it to remain competitive in one of the world`s toughest sporting competitions, we accept that new investment is required.

"Equally, the trustees of the late Jack Walker, who are being professionally advised, and the club`s board of directors are acutely aware of the responsibility involved in passing the club to a new owner.

"We are custodians of a club with a proud heritage dating back to 1875 - a founder member of the Football League."

Here's hoping that this works out for the best. We are all keen for a takeover to happen but the worst thing that could happen is for the WRONG person to be handle the control pad of this great club.

Ahsan Ali Syed could still be very right for Blackburn Rovers but I have a feeling we are about to stop the mud slinging and find out for real if this guy will be the man.

P.S - Sorry guys, I have been in London this weekend and have been away from my laptop so apologies for the lack of articles. I am back in full swing now so for those that thought they were rid of me they can think again ;)

i suppose its actually a good thing its dragging on, better safe than sorry.

totally agree with jayjay. There is no rush, we realistically have until the start of January to find new owners. better be safe then sorry for sure!

I believe that we have every reason to put our faith in John Williams and the Board to get this right. There is no rush and they will be very keen to be seen to be making thorough checks on any investor who is to assume the mantle currently worn by the Walker Trust. We have a magnificent club and maintaining its integrity will, I have no doubt, be paramount.

I agree with the comments above, there is no real rush now as January is a while away and any new investment will not effect us until then, although on the other side of the coin, if Sam knew what he had to spend he could plan ahead

i'm quite optimistic even though there's nothing concrete yet. Be it Syed or Saurin Shah or another mystery buyer, we'll still end up with a new owner before Jan. I believe it will not be taking too long.
