The Summer Transfer Wagon

The Summer Transfer Wagon

The end of the transfer window is always a time for reflection and during this summer's window there is always one way to keep all the discussion ticking over.

Vital Blackburn's very own Bom Bom has had a summer long thread called the 'Summer Transfer Wagon' which has been a huge hit over the summer.

Unlike Big Sam and the negotiation team, the Summer Transfer Wagon has been a huge hit with all on the site and the contribution has been through the roof from VBers across the globe.

The thread has been available all summer on the following link -

http://www.blackburn.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=5142&start=1

Here are a few things that may surprise you about our most popular forum thread ever.

- The thread started on March 31st 2010.

- Since that start date it has never been any lower than position '5' on the forum.

- 83 seperate pages of gossip and insight has gone onto the page.

- 1,289 posts have gone onto that one thread alone as the summer gossip gathered pace.

- The thread has been viewed 16,385 different unique times.

- 46 different VBers have commented on the thread at one stage or another.

- Bom Bom's most popular time for an update was at 11pm - when most sane people who aren't Welsh were thinking of going to bed.

* Just imagine how many posts we can rack up when we actually spend/have some money here at Blackburn Rovers?

Well done to everyone for making this summer the most contributed ever on Vital Blackburn's forums. Thanks must also go to Bom Bom for using his source to keep us all updated.

In all seriousness though, I, personally, have to say that I enjoy doing it and this time round, more than ever and has had people from all over the planet jumping in with rumour, conjecture and opinion. Where else can you get a rumour about a club in Lancashire, England from an Italian or an Aussie eh? Its been fun, I've learned a lot from fellow VBers and other sources and made a few new friends, so to any and all that participated in the Transfer Wagon thread I want to say a great big THANK YOU! PS. I'm looking forward to December already, like the boss man already intimated, imagine a transfer rumour thread when Rovers have reddies to burn, woo hoo!

Transfers windows are really exciting times were we all get a little giddy and pray for that one gem of a signing who can be the next name on the back of our replica shirts, unfortunatley the last couple has not brought that type of player in, but we live in hope that the next window will be more fruitful
