Shah may be fighting losing battle

Saurin Shah appears to be losing his battle to be the new owner of Blackburn Rovers.

Shah was the first to declare a public interest in the world greatest football team but has admitted today that he cannot match the sort of figures quoted by his rival Ashan Ali Syed.

He has clarified that even though Rovers are his first choice that he will one day buy a football club if his bid to land Ewood's finest doesn't come off.

Shah told the Lancashire Telegraph - "If the other party can bring the club the money they are talking about, then I will step aside because I want the best for the football club.

"I have a small family and do not have £300m to put into a football club. I want to buy a football club and Blackburn are my first love but if not I will look elsewhere.

"There are other opportunities and one day, whether it is on the continent or in England, I will buy a football club.

"I have not given up on Blackburn Rovers yet. If they are the best people for the club then I wish them all the best."

To be fair to the guy, he sounds very gracious.

Looks inevitable now?!

Sounds like a decent fella but if he hasn't got any funds to back up his bid then it would surely be more of an investment opportuniy to him. Let's face it we don't exactly fill Fortress Ewood every week and don't kid ourselves into thinking that we're a so called BIG CLUB like some do. That said I think Mr Syed's plan is looking like the best option at the moment for us.

The other guy appears to have more money, but i will remain open minded for now until a takeover happens

anyone think the obvious option seems a bit to good to be true...300million, 15 year plan.... maybe we have just got lucky, i hope so, but still have doubt in my mind after some previous owners of clubs...
